A (Ziggo Mail) Account is a combination of an IMAP, SMTP, and POP3 email account. The actual connection to your account is made through your ISP’s email service. You can use it even if you don’t live in the Netherlands or are not connected to the internet through (Ziggo Mail). Once connected, you will be able to access all of your emails from your phone using its built-in email app.

How to Access the Account through IMAP, SMTP and POP3

If you have a Ziggo account and you want to access the account from different email providers, you have to change the settings on your email account.

Using IMAP

The IMAP setting allows you to access your account through any email client. This also includes Gmail, Microsoft Outlook, and Mozilla Thunderbird.

IMAP is a protocol that allows different servers to share a single mailbox. If you’re already using an IMAP account, it should be fairly easy to set up the account on your Gmail. All you have to do is create a new email account in your Gmail inbox and change the settings of your original IMAP account so that both accounts will use the same username and password.

Using SMTP

To access your account from the IMAP, SMTP and POP3, you will need to set the SMTP settings on your email account. Go to the Settings tab of your email account and then select the option to “disable security restrictions.” This will allow you to send emails from any email address without going through a login page. After you have enabled this setting, go back to your Settings tab and enter your login information for your account.

Using POP3

Some of the most popular email providers are Gmail, Yahoo!, and You are probably already familiar with how to access these accounts from a computer. The process is similar on mobile devices, but they have different internal settings for their IMAP and SMTP protocols so that you can choose which method you would like to use. Gmail offers both POP3 and IMAP, while Yahoo! only has POP3 and does not offer any email accounts through their service.
